George now owns his own hot shop, and his favorite part of this unique art is experimenting and learning daily. He creates glass art from glass vases, bowls; perfume holders to decorative pumpkins, hummingbird feeders and outdoor lighting pieces line the shelves and floor of his shop. George is always excited about increasing his skills, and in 2006 he attended a Pilchuck seminar, and will also be attending again this summer of 2008. Pilchuck is an education center located near Seattle that focuses on glass, access to resources and glass-blowing artists. George is passionately expanding his ability to make unique and colorful outdoor lighting, and hopes to open a commercial shop in Kalispell where people can take classes, view him working and walk through a gallery of his pieces. His online store will open very soon where people can purchase his work. If you have any questions on glass blowing, or would like to know more about George Bland and the Montana House of Glass, please contact George. He is always excited about sharing his passion with all.
