George Bland grew up in Kalispell Montana, educated at FVCC in Geology he moved to southern California in 1981 then to Arizona.

Traveling the United Stated as a Telecom Engineer he would search out galleries and other artistic events to attend. He was introduced to glass blowing in the early 90’s. Immediately hooked on glass, his infatuation has led him through a variety of principals. In the early years George studied lamp working with Pyrex and soft glass, then Neon and finally blowing glass.

He has studied glass blowing at Pilchuck an today he has a small studio in Kalispell, Montana where he enjoys creating and finding his art in this wonderful medium.
